Maharshi Agriculture Research Institute and linked Maharshi Ved Vignan Academy,Ahymedabad Maharshi Agriculture Research Institute was founded and established on October 4,1981 by Late shri Ishwarbhai Patel, Veteran and educationalist well known all over india. The institute has been registered under trust act having Registration no E/4556/Ahmedabad, dt. 4 November 1981 and donation given to the institute is exempted under section 80(G) (5) of Income tax department. Maharshi Agriculture Research Institute (MARI)trust managed the Maharshi ved vignan Academy since 1982 . Academy was fortunate to have resourcefulness and farsightedness of Shri Ishwarbhai who could fatch several donations for office building, the library and for publishing numerous publications. The academy has reserve a niche of its own as a research institute specializing in Vedic studies in contax of the modern scientific outlook .

Our academy is a registered institute, recognized by the Gujarat university for its Ph.D. degree since 1985. It is a matter of proud that it is admitted in to the grant – in- aid status and receives the government to the extent of 100% of the approved Expenditure since 1987. Thus academy has registered itself as main educational nucleus under the domain of MARI .

Maharshi Ved Vignan Academy held a very specific position among the five such educational institutions which are approved by the government of Gujarat as grant- in-aid institutions . The following educational and non educational post are sectioned by govt. of Gujarat for conducting the Ph.D program in the subject of Sanskrit- Vedic science and Philosophy un der the affiliation of Gujarat university. So far 35 students have obtained their Ph.D degree of Gujarat university from our academy. The academy is vedded to the mission of taking the vedas and the vedic lore to the people in general through its publications and educational Activities in in Gujarati. To this and we have brought out more than 50 publication covering various aspects of vedic science and culture, particularly in view of their relevance in this age of rationality and scientific out look. Our library is enriched by very valuable books related to vedic science and culture. About more more than 10000 books are under the process of digitalization for the benefit of all interested readers and students . We encourage the school and the college students to learn vedic literature by awarding merit certificates and some gifts to those who are found capable and out standing in various types of competition. Vedic literature is a treasure of human life related to many skills and knowledge. It teaches us about the real quality of life in relation with natural resources the solution of climate change and global warming and even the most burning problems like militancy lies in vedic literature and vedic culture. To spread the vedic lore among the common mass of the people , our institute run the important certificate courses, this is particularly in view of their relevance with the modern age of rationality and scientific outlook. Keeping in view the treasure of vedic literature and such other valuable books available with our institute. We have a library for general reading and for the reference work for the student . Thus our institute has now emerged as a seat of learning of vedic science and culture . we cordially invite you to join with us and participate in our humble and sincere efforts for the upliftment of our vedic science and culture to have real quality of humans life for us and for our coming generation
